Suspicious package deal at Manhattan subway station seems to be strain cooker – WABC-TV

MIDTOWN, Manhattan (WABC) —

Police closed a Manhattan subway station Saturday night time following a report of a suspicious package deal.

Investigators say the bag contained a strain cooker that was apparently left there accidentally.

The 33rd Road station on the East Aspect was closed shortly after 6 p.m. whereas the bomb squad was referred to as to the scene.

Trains bypassed the station in the course of the investigation.

The station was reopened simply earlier than 9 p.m. when police decided that the system was not a bomb.
